How to make your Village Friend advert as attractive as possible…
- ADVERT REASON – Think about what the person reading the advert wants from you. What would you want to know if in their shoes?
- KEEP IT SIMPLE – Be concise! Too much info will bore people.
- EASY TO READ – Separate your text into paragraphs. It’s much easier to read than one big paragraph.
- ADVERT DESIGN – Use our text editor to emphasis your description text; …font, colour, size, position, etc.
- IMAGES – Include at least one photo, image or logo. It gets you on the home page occasionally and the internet is more of a visual experience. You can have up to EIGHT photos or images, take full advantage of this and include as many as you can, especially if you are selling something.
- SEARCH ENGINES – Use the TAGS box. Not only does your advert appear on Village Friend but it also gets picked up by the search engines like Google, Bing & Yahoo, etc.. TAGS are what Google and other search engines look for to identify and associate your advert. They’re also the words and phrases that people type in to find your type of advert.
- GOOGLE MAP – People like to see where you are. Use the Google Map option to show your location if you are advertising an event or a shop, etc. You can specify a more general location if you prefer.
- CORRECT INFO – Make sure your details on Village Friend and also on your advert are correct & up to date. People may want to contact you so if your details are wrong they won’t!
- TESTIMONIALS – Try to get people to leave testimonials for your advert. People are influenced by what other people think.
- REVAMP IT – Keep your advert fresh by adding to or revamping it periodically. You have unlimited access to your advert.
